This is much better than the new iPod shuffle, because the new controls put on the earbud cord so that you can be heard with a headset. My son was especially the old iPod, not the new, so I had to try to find it.

I threw an iPod Shuffle (2.-generation) in the trash, after less than a year of light use. Problem? Suddenly stopped working. Every time I connect to the software at all - iTunes - I was told that it is in "recovery mode". iTunes requires that I leave to restore the unit. I and a few seconds later the same message - again and again. One blogger suggested that I assign the profit drive letter in Windows that I change, without effect. Another agreementTo format the drive as an iPod. I tried this and still nothing. Because I used to follow the advice of bloggers? As the Apple website was no help. I suspect the 2nd Generation Shuffle is too old for Apple to stand behind the problem. Oh well. I have my daughter Sandisk Sansa Clip. Simple as the shuffle, no proprietary software requirements or dock. And I could almost 4 GB of music to load in less than 15 minutes. Oh, yes - has a radio. YouDo not store music files. Wow My advice? Bail before Apple Apple bales on you!
